1978: Steelage was the first in the industry to introduce fire-resistant record cabinets.
1984: The second production facility was established in Halol, Gujarat.
1986: First in the industry to launch micro fire cabinets in India.
1997: IS-550 certification for safes is first issued to Steelage by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
2000: Steelage becomes a part of Sweden-based Gunnebo Group through acquisition.
2004: Halol Plant receives ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) certification.
2012: Halol Plant receives ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) certification.
2017: Steelage starts exports of vault doors, filing cabinets and safes
2024: Gunnebo expanded its Safe Storage factory at Halol, Gujarat, making it the largest plant for physical security solutions globally.
